All first-time borrows at Kirkwood Community College are required to complete an online loan entrance counseling session before a loan can be disbursed. This is a federal requirement.
All students leaving Kirkwood Community College, due to graduation, transfer or by falling below half-time enrollment, are advised to complete the exit loan counseling. Please note that due to federal guidelines, remaining disbursements of Stafford loans will be canceled for all Kirkwood Community College students who fall below half-time enrollment. To reinstate their loan for the following semester at Kirkwood Community College, students are required to complete a new Stafford Loan Request through EagleNet. (Half-time enrollment is defined as at least 6 credit hours for the fall and spring semesters.)
