Since our founding days, Kirkwood Community College has been at the center of lifelong learning in east central Iowa. Trends such as macramé and fondue cooking come and go…and come around again! When personal computers were first invented, Jimmy Carter was the President—and Kirkwood offered the first courses to help people learn to use them. Jogging and classroom aerobics have evolved into yoga and pilates. For well over two decades, Kirkwood workforce training has provided fast-track answers to worker training and re-training needs.
