OBJECTIVE
I hope to be able to gain employment in the graphic arts community.
Either for a business or agency, or through freelance work. I would like to
apply what I’ve learned through my education and private life towards
a successful career.
EDUCATION
Currently Attending Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids,
Iowa
Graphic Communications Technology
Learning not only the graphical aspects, such as digital drawing in Illustrator and Photoshop, but the practical aspects as well. The technical side of printing and advertising.
INTERESTS AND ACTIVITIES
Since the first home computers became available, I have been interested
in computing. As they have become more powerful, I’ve started to enjoy
them as an artistic tool, rather than just information storing.
I have designed and maintain a variety of Websites. They range from personal
pages, to professional business use.

HOBBIES
I enjoy building and painting figure model kits. They are quite different
from car and airplane models. These are resin cast sculptures that vary in
size and subject matter. Some are about foot tall full figures, others are
life-size busts. Many are likenesses of movie characters, some are original
sculptures designed by the artist themselves.
Over the years I have won quite a few contests and awards. I’m proud
to have written for a few publications (how-to articles), including Model
Maniacs Magazine,and Creaturescape.
I have become quite busy with a home business painting these models professionally.
I paint for private collectors, sculptors, and producers of the kits themselves.
