Cedar Rapids - Main Campus

Orientation includes:

  • Information about student services, student life, and other campus resources
  • A meeting with your advisor to enroll in first semester courses
  • Sessions for parents or guests

Morning Orientation Sessions
Check-in between 8:30 and 9 a.m. and the day will conclude at approximately 1 p.m.

Afternoon Orientation Sessions
Check-in between 12:30 and 1 p.m. and the day will conclude at approximately 5 p.m.

 

Planning to stay in town for your visit to Cedar Rapids? Stay close to campus! You can get the orientation rate at The Hotel at Kirkwood, our student-run hotel. Kirkwood hotel rooms offer:

  • Floor-to-ceiling windows in all rooms
  • 50-inch TVs in all rooms
  • Marble restrooms
  • Close proximity to The Class Act, our renowned student-managed fine dining establishment.

Use the main entrance to campus and park in the Cedar or Nielsen Hall parking lots. Enter Cedar Hall and look for orientation signage to guide you to the right spot.

  • Copies of grade reports or transcripts for any college courses you have completed

Iowa City

Orientation includes:

  • Information about student services, student life, and other campus services and resources available in Iowa City
  • A meeting with your advisor to enroll in your first-semester courses
  • Sessions for parents or guests 

Register Now

Check in begins at 8 a.m. and the event will conclude at approximately noon.

Parking is available adjacent to the main campus building at 816 Lower Muscatine Road in Iowa City.
