Apparel Merchandising Diploma

Apparel Merchandising Diploma

Get a Leg Up in Fashion Retail Leadership

The Apparel Merchandising diploma program is designed to provide students with knowledge and hands-on experiences in the apparel and textiles industry. You'll develop skills applicable for retail establishments, visual merchandising, and entrepreneurship.

Courses include the organization and production of the annual fashion show. Additional learning opportunities outside the classroom environment consist of a supervised internship, fashion week, and digital magazine development.

The apparel merchandising program will help you learn the foundation of the fashion industry leading to various career paths in the field. The curriculum offers students two educational tracks - management and merchandising. The program also maintains an articulation agreement for easier transferring to the Iowa State University Apparel, Merchandising and Design program.

Look forward to taking part in initiatives including a student produced spring fashion show and developing your own fashion line.

After graduating, you can qualify for jobs like:

  • Fashion sales/buyer
  • Visual merchandiser
  • Area supervisor

Internship

The Apparel Merchandising Management track (non-transfer) incorporates
a supervised internship in a retail establishment to provide opportunities to learn outside of the classroom.
