Technical Accounting

Get Up to Speed with Accounting

The Technical Accounting certificate provides students with the skills needed for employment in entry-level accounting clerk positions, etc. and is a great way to get back into the workforce, change career direction, or enhance existing skills.

For those of you who would rather go to work than go to school, Kirkwood offers these certificate and diploma programs that provide hands-on experience in as little as nine months to one year. And, if you choose to further your education at a later date, many of our certificate and diploma programs transfer into two-year degree programs.

In order to earn a certificate, you must apply through the corresponding two-year program, and once accepted, indicate the certificate or diploma of your choice. For the Technical Accounting certificate, that program is the Business Administration: Accounting degree.
