Jump-start your college education by starting college credit classes early with Kirkwood! No matter what you choose as your undergraduate major, nearly every degree program requires students to take some general education courses like those offered by the Arts & Sciences Academy, so dive in!
Although rare, students who complete enough credits of Liberal Arts courses with Kirkwood through Concurrent Enrollment options like Kirkwood Career Academies may be awarded an associate's degree by the time they graduate high school!
Even if you don't complete all of the credit courses required for a Kirkwood degree, you'll be that much closer to your certificate, associate's, or bachelor's degree after completing the Arts & Sciences Academy.
Students have the option to choose four classes (two per semester) from a variety of courses to build an individualized Liberal Arts academy experience tailored towards individual career and college transfer goals.

Please note, course offerings and dates may be subject to change based on enrollment management needs. Students should work through their high school counselor, the staff at their local Kirkwood Regional Center, and/or transfer institution for guidance.
If you’re planning to transfer to a four-year college or university after attending Kirkwood, specific transfer information can be found at All About Transferring.
