Dance Team

Do you love to dance? Join the Kirkwood Dance Team! We dance competitively and represent Kirkwood at community events. We are committed to dance, teamwork, school spirit, and having lots of fun together.

Our team performs pom, jazz, and hip-hop–style routines. If you’re interested in auditioning, you should be well versed in these styles and be able to execute a variety of leaps and turns.

Details

Here’s what you need to know about the Kirkwood Dance Team:

• Practice happens twice a week for two hours per practice. Additional practice times may be called when nearing a competition.
• We host an annual dance show in the fall and a competition in the winter.
• Out-of-pocket expenses could include the following (but are not limited to): summer camp/choreography, team warm-up jacket, jazz shoes, tights, and possibly attending an out-of-state competition. When possible, we will use our team budget to help cover expenses.
