The Eagle Leadership Program at Kirkwood allows you to build connections and create an experience that enhances your time both at Kirkwood and beyond. It’s designed to encourage participation in clubs and organizations, Leadership Series events, and campus events and activities.

Students who collect at least 9 points will earn a noncredit leadership certificate, which is a great addition to your resume. The program offers some great opportunities to build your network (friendships) too!
Students who go beyond the minimum requirements can collect more points to be a bronze-level (9 points), silver-level (11 points), gold-level (13 points), or platinum-level (14 points) student leader and earn a respective noncredit certificate.
Students who reach the silver, gold, or platinum levels will also be recognized at Kirkwood’s annual Awards Banquet held each spring. Students with a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA will receive two bonus points; students with a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 will receive one bonus point.
Clubs and Organizations: Students need to join a minimum of ONE recognized club or organization. Students will earn one point per club/org they're involved in, with a maximum of three points. To learn more about clubs and organizations at Kirkwood, please visit the Clubs webpage.

Join our Eagle Leadership Series to hear from current Academic Advisor Greg Stokes. In 1981, Greg joined the University of Iowa basketball team where he broke several school records including most career points, most blocked shots, career shooting percentage, and field goal percentage for a single game, going 11 of 11 (a record that still stands 40 years later). In 1985, the University of Iowa retired Greg’s #41 jersey. He was drafted in 1985 to the Philadelphia 76ers and also played for the Sacramento Kings and several countries abroad. Join Greg as he shares his unique message about determination, perseverance, and overcoming challenges.

This is your chance to come meet some former Kirkwood students and ask whatever questions you have to make the most of your future both at Kirkwood or beyond.
