About This Scholarship

The Presidential Leader Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to students just like you who demonstrate certain qualities and/or meet certain criteria.

A few of the factors we consider:

• Grade point average (GPA) of 3.25
• Volunteer work outside the classroom
• Leadership, community, and extracurricular activity involvement
• Being a productive member of society
  • Well rounded and well informed
  • Good moral character and respectful of self and others
• Written goals statement (essay)

The Presidential Leader Scholarship awards $5,000 and is available to first-time high school seniors. Students must meet the established criteria and be enrolled full time at Kirkwood in the fall and spring following their high school graduation.
